Our first WISH chapter was started at Carnegie Vanguard High School during the 2019-2020 school year. Our WISH chapters focus on raising awareness of women’s issues, such as period poverty, female underrepresentation in STEM, gender-based violence, and more through monthly meetings and outreach events.
CVHS WISH’s first menstrual product drive was a huge success, with over 142 boxes donated to local women’s shelters!
WISH is open to expanding to different schools and is currently opening up new chapters in new areas! If you’re interested in starting a WISH chapter, take a look at our WISH chapters doc for more detailed information and fill out this Google Form if you decide you’re interested. We will give you all the support and help you need to get your chapter up and running!
We also just started a new WISH chapter at Obra D. Tompkins High School in Katy, Texas, making it our second official WISH school chapter. You can learn more about it here.
