WISH also offers year-long mentorships for underprivileged girls, who will be matched with both a high school mentor and a professional in the field that they’re interested in. These mentors provide the girls with advice, support, counseling, and any other services they may need, and the professional answers any questions that the mentee may have and guides them through the process of selecting relevant courses, researching colleges, and solidifying a long-term plan for future goals and successes.
Last year, we selected 12 of the 25 girls who attended our summer camp for our mentorship. Our girls received a subscription to STRONG Magazine for Girls as well as an inspirational wristband to keep them motivated and on-track for the future!
